Sloops of war were versatile warships built by the Royal Navy during the 18th and 19th centuries, used for patrols, escort duties, reconnaissance, and long-range missions. Representing a distinct category of warship during the Age of Sail, they were designed to be fast, agile, and capable of operating independently across vast distances. When equipped with three masts, they were called ship-sloops, featuring a single gun deck carrying up to 18 guns and constructed almost entirely from oak timber reinforced with a dense internal framework. Vessels of this type achieved a good balance between armament and sailing performance, and crews spent months at sea living and working under demanding conditions that required skill, discipline, and coordination.

The poster includes labeled callouts highlighting the ship’s key structures, decks, and onboard systems.

Printed in high resolution (300 DPI) and measuring 20" x 30", this large poster was created by Deconstructed using our meticulously crafted 3D model. Each poster is shipped in a protective cardboard tube to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
